FAQs

Q: Why do I need a Personal Trainer?

A. To help answer this question ... ask yourself if any of the following statements apply to you:

  • I just can't stick to an exercise program on my own
  • I don't have the time or the motivation to go to the gym regularly
  • I am not comfortable in a traditional gym environment
  • I've been exercising on my own, but I am still not happy with my results

If you can identify with any of these statements, a Personal Trainer could be the answer for you. First your Personal Trainer will make sure you are doing the right exercises based on your fitness goals. Second, your Personal Trainer will ensure that you are doing your exercises correctly to minimise the risk of injury and to maximise the benefit for the time you invest. Most importantly, your Personal Trainer will provide you with the best tools to adopt a more healthy and fit lifestyle so you look and feel your best for the rest of your life.

Q: How much does it cost?

A: With Body Fitness and Stuart Lee Lewington you don't have to be rich or famous to have your own Personal Fitness Trainer. Our commitment is to make personal training services affordable and accessible - please contact us to enquire about our prices at your gym or home.

Q: Can I exercise with a friend?

A: Yes ! Exercising with your Personal Trainer and a friend is fun and may provide you with a source of additional motivation. Exercise with a friend and pay a reduced rate per session !

Q: Do I need to join a gym or can I train at home?

A : You can choose where you want to train. Some of our clients train in the privacy of their home and maintain an exercise schedule without having to commute to and from the gym, saving therefore gym memberships. You have also the possibility to train at your trainer's gym.

Q: Will I lose weight just by doing the workouts?

A: No, to lose fat, your body must follow a synergistic principle combining three things : strength training, cardiovascular exercise and the right nutrition. This is where you will learn how the food you eat controls your insulin, how to keep your blood sugar in check, how to lower your cholesterol and blood pressure and how to lose any unsightly fat.

Q: What about the commercials and diet fads that say "Eat anything you want and still lose weight" - Is there any truth in this?

A: These statements are simply not true - use your common sense - don't waste your money in any fad diet. Get the right information.

Q: What kind of vitamins and minerals do I need to take?

A : If you eat enough fruit and vegetables everyday, there is generally no need to take any supplements. A supplement is an addition to a standard diet and should not be used to replace a healthy diet. If you believe that you don't get enough vitamins and minerals through your dietary food and your body is under stress due to heavy physical demands, you can then look for the supplements which are the more suitable for you. Still remember, a supplement by itself will not bring optimum performance and fresh whole food in as close to its natural state as possible will ensure a healthy balance of essential vitamins and minerals in your diet.
